Build Out Line Rules In Effect:
When the Goalkeeper has the ball, either during the play or from a goal kick, the opposing team must retreat behind the build out line.
Goalkeeper can play the ball right away or once the opposing team is behind the build out line. Goalkeeper can pass or throw/roll the ball to a teammate but they can not punt or drop kick the ball.
The opposing team must stay behind the build out line until the ball is touched again, then play resumes as normal.
If the opposition crosses the build out line prematurely, there will be a restart from the goalkeeper’s hands or a goal kick.
Note: Our interpretation is clearly stated here and is how referees will attempt to call the games with no exceptions. Refs calls are final. As stated above, we have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for behavior towards referees.
